Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth spoke with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia' al-Sudani, to discuss U.S. operations to eliminate the Houthi threat to American commerce and restore American freedom of navigation. The Secretary acknowledged Iraq's strong partnership in addressing shared security challenges, including the recent successful U.S. counterterrorism strike against the ISIS leader in Iraq.
