Secretary of War Pete Hegseth Travels to Belgium
June 16, 2026

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth will depart tomorrow to participate in the NATO Defense Ministerial in Brussels, Belgium. The Secretary will focus on the urgent need for NATO allies to assume primary responsibility for the conventional defense of the European continent by increasing defense spending to 5% of GDP, boosting defense industrial base production, and fielding combat credible forces.
