View Online IMMEDIATE RELEASE Secretary of War General Officer Announcements for March 9, 2026 March 9, 2026 Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced today that the president has made the following nominations: Army Col. Paul A. Lucci, Jr. for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Lucci is currently serving as chief of staff, 807th Medical Command (Deployment Support), Salt Lake City, Utah. Army Col. Arnold Rivera-Sanchez for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Rivera-Sanchez is currently serving as commander, 191st Regional Support Group, Fort Allen, Puerto Rico. Army Col. Scott C. Valley for appointment to the grade of brigadier general. Valley is currently serving as chief of staff, 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support), Gillem Enclave, Georgia.
