Armed Forces Farewell Honoring President Joe Biden

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. will host an Armed Forces Farewell honoring President Joe Biden at 2 p.m. EST, Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at Conmy Hall, Joint Base Myer – Henderson Hall.

There are 35 spaces for press, which will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  Up to five video/network cameras can be accommodated, also first-come, first-served. Note that camera crews will be included in the 35 spaces.

Media interested in covering this event must RSVP by 7:30 a.m., EST Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, to be put on the credentialed list.  Please respond to Ms. Sue Gough at susan.l.gough.civ@mail.mil with name, outlet, position, email and phone number. Please note that any outlet, including still photographers, which has a representative on the White House in-town travel pool for Thursday's event will not be put on the credentialed list.

Note that all press covering the event must travel to Conmy Hall from the Pentagon as a group via shuttle.  Press must be at the Pentagon by 10 a.m. to board the shuttle.  Additional details regarding security screening, parking, shuttle location, etc., will be provided to those on the credentialed list.

The ceremony will also be livestreamed on defense.gov and broadcast on Channel 2 in the Pentagon.
